Privacy notice
What we collect when you send an enquiry, why, who sees it, how long we keep it, and your rights.
Who we are
Shiv Shakti Machine Tools is a family business in Rajkot, India, that makes and trades pipe flanges. We decide how your details are used, so under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 we are the data fiduciary, and under the GDPR, as it applies in the European Union and the UK, we are the controller.

What we collect
Only what you give us, and what the site needs to keep the enquiry form working.
- Your enquiry: name, company, country and email; if you add them, phone or WhatsApp number, delivery location or port, required-by date and inspection requirements; your message, your enquiry list and any files you attach.
- Where you came from: if you arrived from one of our emails or posts, the campaign name in the link (its UTM parameters), the first page you saw, the website that sent you, and the time of your first visit. This stays in your browser and reaches us only if you send an enquiry.
- Spam protection: your IP address, held in memory for up to 10 minutes to limit repeated sending, and checked by Cloudflare Turnstile to confirm a person sent the form.
- Visit counts: cookieless analytics that count pages viewed and four actions (an enquiry sent, a WhatsApp chat opened, the catalogue downloaded, a flange added to the list), without identifying you. [CONFIRM: analytics provider]
We don’t sell your details, use them for advertising, or make automated decisions about you.

Under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, we use the details you choose to send us for the purpose you sent them: to answer your enquiry. [CONFIRM: legal basis under the DPDP Act: consent or legitimate use]
Who sees it
The owners, who answer every enquiry, and these service providers, who handle it for us and for no other purpose:
- Vercel, which hosts the website
- Resend, which delivers the enquiry email to us and your copy to you
- Cloudflare, which runs the Turnstile spam check on the form
- Our analytics provider, which counts visits without identifying you [CONFIRM: Plausible or Vercel Web Analytics]
- Any system we connect to receive enquiries, such as a spreadsheet or customer list [CONFIRM: whether one is used, and which]
Some of these providers process data outside India and outside your own country, for example in the United States or the European Union. [CONFIRM: the safeguards each provider uses for international transfers]
How long we keep it
Enquiries and their files are kept in our email for [CONFIRM: how long], or for as long as the law requires if they lead to an order. The spam check’s record of your IP address is gone within 10 minutes. Your enquiry list is cleared from your browser when you send it; the campaign record stays there until you clear the site’s data in your browser.
Your rights
In the European Union and the UK: you can ask us for a copy of your details, ask us to correct or delete them, restrict or object to how we use them, and ask for them in a portable form. If you’re unhappy with our answer, you can complain to the data protection authority where you live (in the UK, the Information Commissioner’s Office).
In India: you can ask us for a summary of the details we hold and how we use them, ask us to correct, complete, update or erase them, name someone to act for you, and have a grievance answered. If you’re unhappy with our answer, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
Elsewhere: you have the rights your own country’s data protection law gives you, and we will answer any request about your details.
To use any of these rights, email shiv_shakti996@yahoo.com. We answer within [CONFIRM: response time for privacy requests].
